Meet Our Barbers

Dustin is a licensed barber who graduated from the Flint Institute of Barbering in 2016.  His is an expert at straight razor head shaves and fades, but his favorite part of his job is getting to meet new people everyday and build long lasting friendships.   

 James started his career helping out at The Barber Pole on the weekends sweeping hair, cleaning, talking & learning.  He then studied at the Flint Institute of Barbering, and made his way back to the shop in 2020.  James likes to travel, and eat out all around town.  

Karagin has been a great addition to The Barber Pole.  She loves spending quality time with her family and friends.  In the summer you can find her out camping or  laying by the beach.  

Nick graduated from the Flint Institute of Barbering and became a licensed barber in 2018.  He's a great listener and loves to communicate with people, create relationships, and make each customer look and feel their best. 

 Stephen is the owner of the Barber Pole. He purchased the shop in 2007, after working there since 2001. Outside of work he is the Senior Pastor at the Grace Apostolic Church in Clawson. Stephen also just published his first book.  

Mike brought his talents to The Barber Pole from previous careers as a creative director in marketing, to luxury car sales with BMW and Mercedes.  He has an eye for detail and is very passionate about his clientele.  You will enjoy his fun personality and witty banter.  

Vernon has been cutting hair for many years. Vern specializes in almost any cut including razor cuts. Vern is able to take care of you like only a seasoned barber can. 

Jack is back home in Michigan after spending the last several years as a barber in New York City where he became proficient in all haircut styles. When not at work Jack is interested in flight training with an end goal of becoming a commercial pilot.
